hey guys,
had the cupra remapped last week and have a possible issue thats arisen from it

in 3rd/4th/5th if i accelerate hard from 4k RPM upwards i get boost in waves rather than as one solid piece of accleration, if that makes sense

spoken to the guys who did it and they said it may be due to being towards the end of the ability of the turbo. i have a feeling it may be due to still running the standard exhaust, but any input would be greatly appreciated

the car is running a 007p and green panel filter, and with the remap is hits 220.3bhp and 272lb/ft torque

hope someone can shed some light for me

cant see the exhaust causing it. more likely to be a possible n75 issue? does it improve as it warms up? is it consistant?

you need to find somebody near you with vagcom. they can log as you drive and see whats happening at 4k plus.

did the tuner not vagcom the car or check for faults?

nope its regardless of speed. and happens every time i accelerate at higher revs

yeah was all plugged in to vag-com and checked by the guys who did it but i may see if i can get a second opinion too

the guys who did the remap are due to call me tomorrow with regards to the problem. is there an easy way to tell if it's the n75?

I'd say its the N75 valve, i had the same problem with "pulsing" boost when the car only had 2k miles on it. Had the N75 chnaged and its been fine ever since (the car now has 58k on the clock)

N75 problem sounds about right to me. New ones are circa £50

And for the mapper to say "towards the end of the ability of the turbo" says to me he does not know what he is dealing with.

well it wasnt the mapper himself, it was one of his staff who openly admitted it was just his opinion.
the guy who did the mapping has been a vauxhall, and more recently VW tuner for about 25 years. gonna pop in and see him tomorrow methinks. see what he says

My 20VT FR with Revo stage 1 map (GP Filter PD160, and Miltek Cat back) has this issue, on mine it's during reasonable/mild acceleration, if I floor it, it's smoother it seems.

..although maybe it is when it's doing 4000rpm onwards (i'm normally looking where i'm going when doing 4000rpm as it doesn't hang about).

I have done research and this is VERY common problem after a remap!

Is the part number..058-906-283-F? - That would be the same as on a Octavia vRS.

Anyone else had this problem after a remap?
