The wife drove my standard 225R for the first time and she wasn't impressed. Is there something wrong with it? seems ok but don't exactly get pushed back in the seat is it worth getting looked at? [by the way she drives a Renault modus][

if your maf is under reading it will feel pig slow
vagcom logging can confirm this

i have seen a 225 TT with maf reading of 109g/s and the new owner of that car also thought he "thought" it should go better, but did'nt have a comparison. I swapped the MAF over for new one and he thought I had remapped it such was the difference

swap ya woman over if the maf don't fix it - anywhere near 3000rpm in the 16v and mine's screaming her head off to slow down

She wasn't impressed or you were not?? Dont forget you will get used to the cars oomph over time so doesn't feel as fast, just get it remapped, let her drive it again and tell her to use the other 5 gears this time.. ;)

Mine did the same. Never driven a turbo before and soon as the boost came on she changed up. Short shifting and no boost the LCR feels dull. Back in her white van and its rubbing bumpers to keep up the reputation of WVM or woman.

I'd guess she isn't used to revving the nuts off a car and is changing up too soon.

My missus can't drive mine but she holds on for dear life when I give it some beans. :)
