i've got a few euros down the back of my sofa along with a farthing, good enough to start with:)

wide arches = bumpers not fitting right = new bumpers ( or bodge) = wheels not filling arches = new wheels or stretching suspension etc..... yadda yadda yadda

Think it's been suggested before. I expect loads of people will say "yes I want one" but most of them will disappear when it comes to showing they're serious (i.e. putting money up!), whether that's a fund to get some moulds made, or to buy a set of arches.

As said before, you then need to extend the bumpers and the wheel track, so it's quite a big undertaking to get a set on a car.

Im putting a VR6 front end in my car and as its an inch wider than the Ibiza may have arch clearance issues etc which may not be cured by pulling and rolling the arches, so im toying with the idea of either having the arches flared or doing something similar to the f2 kit but in a way which i wont have to modify the bumpers!

With my dad being pretty good at fabricating and having a few spare wings lying around were going to have a go at sectioning and cologning the front wings and see how it turns out...if all goes to plan ill remove some rear quarter panels off an Ibiza down our local scrappy and have a go at the rears aswel!

On top of all this my dad makes fibre glass hot rod bodies and could easily take moulds off the panels we make if they turn out alright and i wouldnt mind selling them on, but im not sure how theyd look just stuck on to the original panels  lol and then you'd still have to get round filling the arches and i wouldnt recommend spacers that big

Hmm interesting...would like to see them on a car first though!

Anyway ask Raddo Dave as he's actually got his up and running and has done it the easier way, im going down a slightly different route lol just to be awkward.

But if you've got a 2.0l 16v then you can get away with just the engine, box and loom and it all bolts and plugs into/onto the original Ibiza stuff. Might be able to use the Ibiza gearbox aswel? as the VR6 box is hydraulic clutch but you can adapt this for a cable clutch!

Or do what i've done and strip a whole Golf VR6 down and see the similarities and differences between the two setups etc and use what you want!

easy bolt on fix but personally with the engine out anyway i'd look at using the hyd clutch

Tdi uses the hydraulics etc you will need that end and every 16v driver curses the day seat decided they weren't going to :(
