Ibiza tdi 130 remap reviews

Hi guys im new here but would just like to know peoples reviews on their remaps , I’m thinking of doing it but don’t know where and need some idea of what to expect after remap.

Info I need is where you’ve had the remap from?

How’s the power band ? (do you still feel the turbo kick in or is it like my mates 535d where it doesn’t feel that fast until you look at the Speedo super smooth power delivery )

Anybody got any relevant figures 0-60 0-100 30-70 standard and remaped

Mpg figures

And finally has it had any effects on your clutch/ flywheel

Thanks guys

Hi, not long had my pd130 remapped by will at p-torque in wolves. it really has breathed new life into the drive, lovely smooth delivery all through the range with the power increasing upto about 4250 rpm, just keeps on pulling. :funk:

to early to say about the clutch but i guess itll need upgrading in some 12 months or something.

stock i had 145 hp, post map & pd160 air intake with standard air filter was 182 hp and a max of 311 ib/ft torque.

mpg appears to be about the same as before. havnt noticed much of a smoke screen either.

glad i had it done, only i do listen out for the turbo and other rattles and squeaks more now as im always expecting somethong to go wrong.

i had a jabbasport map on my 130 leon tdi was super aggressive!!with fmic and cat back exhaust 13.6bhp and 322lb ft torque
BUT the power was good for a map and well worth the money spent

hi guys i had mine done at rs tuning in leeds and cant rate him enough. i went in a morning and he was great and friendly streigh of the back. after spending alot of time getting the power delivery just right it came out at, 186bhp and 312 torque. he ocasionally does cheaper discounts at certain periods, give them a ring 100% if your interested! :D

Hi, firstly forget the power/ torque figures by revo and other tuners - they are the absolute max!
Secondly, once you get above above 160 bhp you need a front mounted intercooler - that's why the ibiza 1.9 tdi pd160 has one.
There is a fantastic company called powerspeedmotorcompany who you will find on tdiclub forum. In my opinion they are the best!

Having been in several PD130's, mapped by different companies, I must say that the one running RS tuning software is by far the best in my personal opinion.
Paul might not be one of the better known tuners, and may not go about flying his own flag, but unlike a lot of other tuners, his cars always produce consistently good figures on all rollers, and not just his own.
I'll most deffinately be using him when i fit my hybrid turbo over the next couple of months.

i agree with tom 100% i went to rs tuning for mine doin and he spent alot more time on it than he should have and stayed late at night after hours to sort it out so it was perfect. he even fine tuned it a week later for free after i gave it a good drive. sound guy paul cant recomend him enough. no im not on comission either :D

whats happened to custom code? about a year ago i read loads of people had their maps and couldnt stop praising them up, but now nobody mentions them. ever! ive spent a bit of time away from the site so have their been some bad experiences? thing is they're fairly cheap and have a mobile service......as unfortunately not everyone can make it up to wolves or leeds :) also what about angel tuning? have heard some good things bout them in the past too.....my engines just ticking along as mr seat intended atm...but hopefully by the end of the year it'll be mapped so threads like these are v. interesting for me.

Custom Code are still pretty good. They would be my second choice to RS.

As for Angel tuning, id stay away. There far from being the best. Thay also claim figures which are un-realistic. A lad from work had his golf pd130 mapped by them and he's supposedly pushing 195bhp, with a remap and air filter. You'd struggle to get that on a stage 2 map without the turbo going pop.

I have had the stage 1 remap by custom code running for just under a year now with high flow panel filter (getting cat back done this week) and have had no problems.

I had mine done by mobile tuning and i can't praise the lad who did it enough. Knowledgable and gave the advise i wanted on the type of map i was going to get as well as doing the usual checks.

I look at angel tuning and red dot but after reading reviews on the net decided red dot was a definate no and angel a maybe as they were more local...... it was this site what convinced me to go with custom... had no issues thats all i can say.
