The aero blades can be bought to fit the regular "hook" arms.

Standard wiper arm with "hook" aeros

Just ordered those last night... Didn't realise the arms would sit as high as that

If you think that it is a design fault then you should probably raise this with Bosch. I haven't noticed this before - will check the blade as to your description when I get a chance.

mine were valeo, and i did raise it with them, but they weren't interested.

lol, you're probably right! I need new wipers so i bought them.

i tried to find a set of aero arms from a mk4 golf but no dice so, maybe in 6 months or so!

iv been using flat blades from tescos for the last year, need replacing now and il prob just use the same again as they seem pretty good to me, 6 or 8 quid each, cant complain!

they do sit a little high as per lee69 pic but it doesn't bother me.

only problem i ever had with these is when raining and driving too fast (120+) the wind seems to get under them and they dont work for p**s.

bit of rainX means you can turn your wipers off at 60+ anyway though so not really a problem

dunno like mate, i think your better with the 18 i had a 19 passenger one for a year (flat blade) it worked OK but because it overlapped the screen a little (sat on the rain gutter) it ended up missing about 3 inches of the windscreen.

so more = less lol, your better with the right size mate

I was looking at my standard wipers whilst driving this morning and they don't appear to make the arms stick up any higher than this so, not meaning to sound funny, why is anyone bothered that the retro-fit flat blades sit this high?

I could do with some new wiper blades and might try these retro fit ones because I can't justify spending loads on the proper arms (unless a cheap set pop up on eBay of course).

To be honest they do sit up a bit more than the standard wipers but you soon get used to them and forget about them :)

sorry to sound dumb but do you need the golf mkiv arms as well or are your blades on normal arms?
Cheers
