TCS Light

I dropped my K1 to the stealers this morning to have something fixed and they gave me an altea as a courtesy car. When I turn the TCS off on the K1 the light constantly flashes on and off until I turn TCS back on, but on the Altea it stays as a solid warning light like my golf did.

Is the Cupra one broken????

I'll try my Cupra for you tonight mate, I haven't turned it off yet so I'm not sure. My old FR stayed solid like your Altea did.

From memory, I watched a video on youtube of a guy doing a top speed run in a Cupra and his was flashing on and off all the time too, so hopefully it's the way they are just.

Mine does that in my cupra aswell. I think it's normal.

I think there may have been a change in the way TCS/ESP in the last year or so.

My MY08 July 2007 Cupra was a solid warning, as was the one we used on the SEAT track day.

I did read on here ages ago that newer ones are different, think it might be that rather than turning ESP 'off' like on my Cupra it now just turns TCS off.

In my K1 the light just stays on when the TCS/ESP button is pushed, the flashing must be a pretty recent update i think.

All MY09 cars after summer 2008 have an alternating TCS/ESP light
