Changing my Leon for new Ibiza SC Sport

Hi!

I am considering changing my 2.0 TDI Leon for a new Ibiza SC sport 1.6 DSG. I was wondering if the 17" wheels (at £140 more) would make the ride unbearable with the sports suspension? My Leon has the sports suspension with 17" wheels and is a bit of a bone shaker, but handles brilliantly. Also does the ibiza have the blown bulb warning feature that all Leons have? One more question.... can I expect a discount on the new car, given the current climate? I have a feeling that my 06 plate leon with its extras and only 25K miles should be worth £9500/£10,000 at trade in.

Many thanks for any advice you can give

Ian :)

Don't know if you'll get a discount on the car, but they are eager to sell new cars, and they're selling alot of good second hand cars (around here at least) so you're desirable on two counts, no only will you buy a new car, but they should have little trouble selling on your part ex.

Not sure if they'll discount the price, or throw some extras aat you etc. go and talk, remember that they want to sell you the car, get as much as you can from them...

As for the sport + 17", i dont have my car yet so can't tell you, but i think there are a couple of people on here with that mix, and they'll let you know.

Many thanks guys. I think I will be ordering one this week. One more question... I hear not all th extras packs are shown on the confingurator. Is there a luxury pack available with auto dimming rear view mirror, auto lights and rain sensitive wipers?

Cheers

Ian:)

Update I have double checked and it does state bulb failure light but does not show when ignition is switched on,if you want the other extras they are covered by the Convenience pack which also includes rev/sensors and the pack costs £245.00

Hi again

Hope I am not asking too many questions. I just know from experience that you guys will know so much more than the dealers! If I opt for the ipod connection (with bluetooth) is the usb socket/ ipod adaptor in the glove box? At present in my Leon I have a dealer fit adaptor that plugs into the head unit, where the cd changer would plug in, and has a lead for the ipod into the glove box.

Many thanks

Ian

The new ibiza does have bulb failure warning as standard.

Bluetooth and usb/ipod, what happens there is that the usb is there so you can buy the ipod cradle for part for £50 and that will make your ipod work

Regards to discounts, you wont get alot off as we can't get the car's so why discount when the product is wanted!

Thanks Darryl, Crap idea tho, I have a car only ipod nano that I leave in the car all the time. The last thing I want to do is remove it every time I leave the car. I will have to hope an aftermarket lead that goes directly into the back of the head unit is available, then the ipod can live int he glove box

Cheers again. hope the px on my Leon is good lol

well it sits far back init to the dash and I don't think you would be able to see it once its in as it rather dark I think your be fine. Its alot better than the leon Ipod connection as this one brings up the names on the dash also rather and just 6 playlist folders
