i bet this has been asked before about a million times but what tyres are you peeps runnin on your car i have yokohama parada spec-2's on at the mo i think theyre good for the money and ive bought 2 pairs since last year but now i fancy a change and i want some which are goin 2 take a few trackdays and fast road driving been thinkin about orderin 4 toyo r888's as ill be needin 4 in the next week or so, how much use do you get out of them? are there any other tyres i could go for? i have 205-40-17s on at the mo

You can get alot of time out of the R888s if you have them at the right pressure. For road driving it is hard to get them up to temperature and keep them there.

In the 205 on the track aiming to get them to 30psi when hot. So on a cupra probably the usual 34psi when hot. Bill will be able to correct me if I'm wrong I'm sure :)

they are awesome tyres, id go for it as i know your running good power,

they run on a lotus exige standard, well they yoko, a048's and my mates had good milage out of his even with the odd track day and trip to the ring, although the only prob you might have is that they have a bigger profile so if your cars really low you might struggle compared to a normal 205/40

priced them r888's 2day 109+vat and they cant make them quick enough apparently got to wait about 3-4 weeks before they can get them in!!! altho i seen some on the bay for 375 for 4, also priced up the toyo t1r 65+vat so around the same as the parada's but my m8 had them on his car and they only lasted a month on a 1.5 yaris!! are there any other makes that do road legal tyres simmiler 2 the r888's?

Not cheaper than the 888s. Look on camskill. I can get 4 for the 205 for £270 delivered. They are 15" though.

bonus if you running 17's i know 888's come in 40 profile on that size rim for some reason :|

If you can afford them with the better weather coming i would go for them. I noticed it stuck to the road better over goodyears. But to be honest with the power im running and them rubbing at times i stuck with goodyears. I may get a set to run on track though as noticeably better.
