stop making multiple threads, just keep it in here.

Next have you got full VAG-COM or the trial version ? if you have the full version then do some logs of air flow, requested boost, actual boost etc etc etc. this will help us a little.

Also have you tried disconnecting the MAF ? if you disconnect the MAF and it run's better, it will be this at fault.

what are you basing on that the car is not running to its full potential, besides your boy racer experience...?

did any of the codes come back?
As said, the fiesta ST chipped should have you anyway, and your mates Mk4 is that standard?

Don't really need to much info on the other 2 cars tbh, as they are not the cars in question.

As said get a boost gauge, check for fault codes and try and do some logs.

Maybe someone near you that could help you a hand

The mk4 Cupra isn't that standard so it should pull on you really ;)

Could be many things. Might not be anything, just that you are comparing to the wrong cars. Has it had it's big service yet? Think it had around 60000 miles on it does it?

you know this guy ?

you should give him a few forum 'help' sessions before he tries to post again.

afternoon

firstly i think the search button wont be of much use here! so telling this person to use it is pointless as he has a problem or believes there is a problem with the car but will not know what he is searching for. Hes not asking your every day question about dumpvalves or induction kits etc.
Being a new owner i expect knowledge of the car isnt great so why not post it on the forum which is full of people with far greater knowledge after all isnt that what it is for?

now reading into it i believe his so called "race" was set up between him and his friend with the cupra as a comparison because after all there shouldnt be much other than driver ability between the two cars. So if his friend was pulling away considerably then maybe there is a problem? it could be something as simple as a loose or split hose so any useful suggestions would benefit him or at least give the lad a starting point ;)

comming from someone with 1 post.........

RIGGHHHTTT.......................

searching will help, there are many threads on this forums that state that the owner should post up logs from VAG COM in the appropriate section to get performance help.

there are all the common things with these cars including coils, MAF's, engine coolant temp sensor, etc etc etc etc etc...

a search will bring up a whole wealth of knowledge that would help before he posts

yes everyone has to have one post at some stage so no need to get sarcy ;)

If theres common problems why not suggest them you have just told me in your last post 3 possibilities already rather than giving the lad a bit of verbal. Again if he has no knowledge of the car or the problem it does make it a little more difficult to know what your searching for
