good to meet driveforward at the weekend at what must have been the best ring weekends i have been on for years, especially at this time of year. lovely weather all weekend, despite the fog on Sunday morning. despite not driving this visit i did manage to get some great laps with the guys i was with, fastest was the track set up Nova 2.0 throttle bodied which managed an 8:50 on a lap which included road works and 2 slows for accidents. mad

Grabbed a few pics of Driveforward

Some great pics there Ant! It was good to meet you - albeit a fleeting moment!

The weekend was superb, I certainly had a great 5 days (more details to follow).

I think that may be Lorna in the passenger seat!

Update Following Easter 'Ring Trip

Well folks, having been back two weeks it's only a few days until the lil one's back in the Eifel; but in the meantime, here's a quick update following my 6 day trip over Easter!

Since getting back I've had to fix my pop-out rear quarter windows (by fitting them in properly!), take a lump hammer and Dremel to my rear wheel arches, and stick some vinyl.. otherwise, the lil one has done well!

The lil one racked up 67 laps of the Green Hell, reaching the break-even point for my JahresKarte after the first trip :)

The trip experienced superb weather, no snow this Easter! Apart from the Friday, the track (and carpark) was quiet, making for some excellent lapping and general socialising. I spent some time with Mark and Lorna on their 3rd wedding anniversary (congrats again both - it was great to catch up again as it'd been a while!), and the crowd from Northloop.. overall, an absolutely fantastic trip - one of the best yet :D

A few stats: over the trip the Arosa racked up 1,842 miles, drank 1 litre of oil (read: spat it out of the exhaust), and guzzled over £360's worth of super unleaded

Many passenger laps were had and returned, with the Arosa receiving nothing but praise, and on a couple of occasions - sheer fits of laughter at how it flies through the twisties  A true Dedicated Ring Tool

So, just to wet my appetite, and instil a little jealousy given I'll be doing this again in 4 days, here's a link to a video of a lap of the 'ring in the lil Arosa.. Enjoy:

On-track pics and more updates to follow!

You crazy crazy man .... you look like you're carrying 30% more speed through almost all of those corners than most of the other stuff out there!!!

..er, yup! :D

That's what made a few of my passengers (experienced 'ringers, not just n00bs) have a good old chuckle!

Shame that lap was restricted by the traffic and roadworks.. will see what the conditions are like in a few days ;)

Well i'm impressed! For a man in a small car you have huge balls!!!!! It also looks like you know the track well too - some of those corners would catch and kill anyone that thought they did!

that was a good video to watch that looks like a hell of a lot of fun through the corners.
i think the person on the bike forgot that four wheels corner better than two.
i cant beleive how much of a beast the car sounds lol.
It sure is, shame the chap recording had his hand over the mic for most of the lap as it sounds much louder than in that film! I'll see if I can grab another vid during my next trip.

Lol.. I'll take that as a compliment

I've driven 228 laps to date, I'm no master of the track but know it pretty well now
