Leon TDi PD150 mpg?

Still enjoying my first week of owning the Cupra. But roughly how many miles do you guys get to the tank?

The book guide recons it should be kicking out 56mpg but I dont think its anywhere near that (I dont have a heavy right foot btw)

Also, does anyone else notice when the fuel gets to 1/4 tank it drops like a stone (my old escort did this lol). Not a prob just wondered if its a common thing.

We had a 08plate Golf GT140 and that used to do 48-50 and that wasnt driving that calmly not sure if thats the same engine? obviously the leon weights more. It used to do mid 50's on a good run.

As for the fuel gage it used to take ages for it to drop from full to 3/4 full then it used to go down a lot quicker to empty.

normally about 45-50 on the daily commute of a roads and quick dual carriageway blast
motorway is different though with 40-45 at *cough* 80ish with odd blast at *choke* 90-95 for a 150mile straight trip
and obviously it is my own private motorway with no taxes imposed

I have to admit 90% of my drive is motorway (private one of course) where I average 80-95 mph

i can usually get 450 miles before needing to fill up. i drive to work and back in london so its all start stop traffic..

looking back at bills i fill up every 2 weeks!

yeah, my fill ups are after every 550 miles / 7-10days on avg

have a look in the tdi section and you will that nathanio, i recall correctly, put up a spreadsheet on calculating it all and it works treat if a little scary when you read old info over time

I tend to get between 500-550 miles per tank depending how i drive and 46+ MPG (highest been 62MPG)

Same mine usually around 45-50 MPG 14 mile commute to work and back, depending on how im feeling depends on the miles i get, worst was when i first got it around 460mile full tank and that was spirited and best was normal driving but with a 300 mile trip over a weekend across to the lakes, i got 570 odd.

Well, just completed my first tank at 530 based on motorway driving. Best thing is, I drove it on empty for ages trying to find a petrol station, still had 5 litres in the tank to my surprise!
