I need to stagger these posts so I can get to 15 to enable me to post pictures....But it doesnt seem to make any difference! I will need to start a new thread!

Think I got my 15 posts.
Heres a pic of my car compared to the online SC. Mine looks like a 4x4 in comparison. I took the car into the dealer who say the correct springs are fitted. I dont feel this is acceptable.

if you ordered based on a car in the showroom or that online information i would be taking it back saying it was mis represented!

I took it back to the dealer who say the correct springs have been fitted. Still waiting to hear back from head office. I looked at other SC's in the showroom, & they're all high compared to the online photos & brochure. Like you say, the photos are misleading & a miss-representation....but they were all I had to go on when I ordered the car as there were no SC's in the country at the time!

I would use this to the fullest extent, basically you purchased a car with the understanding it was the model shown in the photos.

you specifically liked the 'sporty stance' offered by the model you agreed to buy.

Its like them showing alloys then not fitting them!

Anyway there will be a sports kit available so i would be trying to get them to fit it for you :ban:

lol yea, there's no way that's right, it looks like a Q7 (Audi) or Cayenne in stance.

check that the transit blocks aren't in the suspension! It wouldn't be the first time a dealers missed it.

however, the red car doesn't look like it's parked on the level (but by god it looks like a 4x4)

Heard back from the dealers now.

Head Office are unwillng to do anything about it as all the new Ibizas are the same

What about the online & brochure pics? Well, it would appear they are 'simulated' as it states so can differ from the real life production model.

My first experience with SEAT is not off to a good start.

I definately want to lower the suspension myself now. Are there any recommendations for specialists in my area (Herts/Northants)

Thanks!

Thats what I first thought....they put the wrong springs on at the factory......

I took it into the dealer who looked at the coloured dots on the springs easily visible under the wheel arch. They were the correct rating. The dealer then explained the sports suspension only relates to the spring stiffness, not ride height :(

Seems strange that SEAT go through alot promoting this car in the brochures & online as sporty & trendy, then have the production models looking like 4x4's!

I wonder if there is a certain amount of 'settling' that needs to happen with time?

There will be some settling in time. But you might as well buy some Eibach Springs when they're available - the ride will no doubt improve anyway

I installed a KW Variant II suspension, one month after buying my car for this reason.
I couldn't stand watching it like this. But the benefits were even more, than just better looks.

Better handling/ cornering, braking etc.

Buy at least a lower set of springs. If you can afford it go for a coilover kit. KW, Bilstein, Weitec, Koni etc.

That's true. But it will never be as low as advertised in brochures. I had to go down 4.5cm to beat that.
