Supersprint full turbo-back exhaust

Due to my current downpipe on the verge of disintegration, I've decided to treat myself to a whole new system.
I know there's a couple of options out there (Blueflame and Milltek) but I wouldn't mind trying something a bit different and wondered if anyone's tried a full Supersprint race system with the downpipe and cat (not the decat pipe)?
If so, did you have any issues with fitment?

Reason I ask is I've been in touch with a supplier and this is the response he's sent me........

The 912513 and 912505 is the racing system, or oversized system as some call it. It has a 63.5mm internal diameter. Both de-cat down pipe and high flowcat down pipe would be 63.5mm also. This causes problems with fitting. It is a very tight squeeze to fit the smaller diameter down pipe. So the oversized would have no chance on a right hand drive, not without modification anyway.

I'm not really sure what he means by modifications as I've already got a 3" downpipe on there now and although it's tight, I don't believe it was a huge task to fit, so I'm struggling to understand why this 2.5" downpipe would cause so many issues.
How different are things underneath a RHD car compared to a LHD in terms of layout and space?

Pic of downpipe attached below.

It all looks good to me, but I guess it's hard to tell until you actually try it.

Opinions please?

I look at these the other day and had a search about them found a thread

iirc aparently they only fit the LHD version of ours because on the RHD the steering rack gets in the way sounded strange to me

could be what he means by modification though...

any idea how much the de-cat one was as im looking for one soon going blueflame at the moment which is £200..

Yeah your dead right about Supersprint being quality stuff as Im sure thats the brand of exhaust system or rear box the BMW M3 CSL runs from the factory, correct me if Im wrong however. It is a good price too for a downpipe.

Yeh it is a dam good price! Your right about the m3 csl, and i remember them doing exhausts for some modern Lambos! That would be enough to sell it to me! Even my old supersprint back box, was only the street system and had been on the car for 2years, took it off when the bluflame TB went on and it was still in excellent condition, got some nice pops on life off aswell!

Buy buy buy people!

I need to ring around a few more suppliers to see what price they can do the downpipe and cat for. You wouldn't believe the price I got quoted for it earlier :-o
I'll give Awesome-gti a call tomorrow to see if they can source/price it as well. I'll try Tuningwerkes as well as I'm pretty sure they supply Supersprint exhausts.

Well, if it helps, I've just spoken to another supplier who's sold a few of the decat pipes to Ibiza owners and there's been no reports of any fitment issues whatsoever.

I'm just waiting on the price for the full system and if it's good then I'll go for it I think. I have a feeling the downpipe with cat is going to be uber expensive though :(

SeanyK, I have the Scorpion too but I'm looking to replace the whole system. I shouldn't think it'd be too difficult for a half decent exhaust place to mate them up but I'm not 100% on that.

has anyone fitted one of these?my cars on ramps on the driveway with my old downpipe and cat off,but carnt get one of these supersprint downpipe and decat to fit correctly with out a bracket on the downpipe side for the tensioning spring catching on a rubber ducting for the hydraulic steering pipes which is close to the downpipe/turbo.hope iv made this clear enough,if anyone has fitted one of these do they have any suggestions because im thinking of cutting the bracket down and trying to re-drill it for the tensioning springs or sending it back?thanks
