Thoroughly recomend it, much better to drive. No funny hesitation if you take your foot off the throtle just as it comes into boost.
Also stuck my boost gauge in, just temporarily, as i haven't got a gauge mount pod yet. Spikes over 20psi, and holds at around 18. So i'm guessing it's already remapped. Bonus.

Its a great mod and cheap as well dont know why seat didnt do it in the first place, i know its a safety system for the turbo. seems likes your running a map if your getting 20psi
mine peaks about 23-24 psi on stage 2.. tails off to about 22 psi.

Um, assume the N249 in question is not the road in France.

So, can someone please explain to a ignoramus such as me what exactly this mod is for, + pros 'n' cons etc? (Rather liking the sound of phrases such as, "It's a great mod and cheap as well...".)

Thanks. :)

Mike, I'm going to attmept mine this weekend. From these pics (hope the people don't mind me having a copy) you will see what goes where. The only part which I'm not sure of is which pipe get's blocked off with a bolt and cable tie as I can't see where the old N249 pipes go to from the pics. However I'm not sure this is even needed. Anyway you can run a single piece of 4mm silicone pipe from the top of the DV (blue line) to the inlet manifold. Your DV may differ but will be in the same place. The red circles show what is behind etc...

Someone will confirm who's done it on a LCR 225 :)

yep; that is correct allan. In the bottom picture, the hose you have highlighted blue, I have simply connected this to the hose that already runs to the top of the DV (disconnect from the N249). So you basically disconnect these two hoses from the N249 and link them together with a stepped in-line connector, or push one inside the other for a temporary solution!

Mine is as in picture 1 Alan. No need for the bolt or anything then because all those pipes on top in the middle are 100% disconnected from the rest of the vac system.
