Yep, sig pic is a HDR. It pulls out all the detail in the pics (light and dark spots) but its harder to do from just 1 pic unless the pic is in RAW format.

If you're interested in making a comparison after you install the springs, my measures today were 61cm at the back and 60cm at the front. :)

And I love your new sig! :D

Painting rear boot handle S badge

Latest mod to the FR: painting the rear boot handle (getting rid of the chrome S and going matt black!)
This is something I have been contemplating for a while now, and as my general goal is to go for a grey and black theme with this car, I thought I would tackle it this week.
Having looked at the badge, I had thought of spraying in-situ but I wondered "how easy would it be to get the badge off the car?". I used THIS LINK to help me remove the boot trim, which I did with no problems or broken bits! Three bolts later and the badge lifted out of the boot! Good times!!

So on with the spraying...

First coat of grey primer

As this is still ongoing, I will update the thread as we go. Just a couple of questions for you all...

How many coats of primer and paint do you reckon? I am going to go for three of each.

Should I lacquer it when I finish? Seeing as I want the matt black look, I was thinking "no".

Two coats of primer and two colour should be enough. Although with a matt colour i'd spray 3 coats as you won't be using lacquer on it.

You can buy matt lacquer but I don't think it's needed if your just spraying a small badge.

I am leaving 30mins between coats of primer. Should I leave 24hrs between primer and starting colour?
