All i can say about the Superchips Bluefin remap on my Leon FR TDI is Wow, i thought my Leon was fast before but now it is even faster and better to drive, i even have a usable first gear:) which is a bonus on its own.Turbo comes in quicker and it pulls all the way to the red line.So if your are thinking of doing it i would give it a thumbs up ;).

Good work, welcome to the club! :)

Will get my Bluefin dyno results up here tomorrow.

@Eriedor, mine was mapped at just over 14k miles.

Not sure.. Might take my handset down though and see if they'll let me do one run with and one without for comparison.

Hi Al its easy you buy the unit online (put a search in for Superchips Bluefin). Buy the Bluefin unit and plug it into your diagnostic port , it then reads your ECU.
After that you install the Bluefin cd into your computer , then plug the bluefin into a usb port and it uploads the info to the superchips server.
After superchips get this info they remap the info you have sent them and then once this is done they will mail and text you telling you to plug your Bluefin unit back into your computer and download the remap.
Once you do this you plug Bluefin back into diagnostic port in your car and the bluefin unit will load the remap to your car.
The good thing about it is you can use the bluefin unit to revert you car back to standard also ;)
Direct from superchips it costs £435

I think its down to each person, i would say look at the forums search revo, custom code, remaps and decide for yourself.
I liked Bluefin as it seemed to have less DPF issues and also i could put my car back to standard myself, this comes at a cost if you take it to a mapper.
But this is my opinion you should look into it yourself before deciding.
Hope this helps:D

it's worth noting that some people have had problems and not been able to revert back to the original map.

i have a quiery about bluefin so rather than starting another thread i'll ask it here:

is it possible to get a bluefin handset (old style) reprogrammed to a different car, i have one that is currently for a ford focus and i was wondering if it could be reset for an altea fr?

No but you can send it back for a discount on a new one I believe
