DPF light, no manual on me - what driving do i need to do to clear it?

DPF light on TDi FR - wadda I need to do?

I do a mix of motorway and round town driving - surprised it come on really.

Just drive at around 40mph and 2k revs and it should clear in a few minutes, thats what I've done the few times its come on! :)

I Really Struggle to drive at 40 MPG best i get is 38

well drove as per hand book to clear light and it did not the coil light came on flashing and car into limp home mode, how f*cking annoying - there is no reason the filter should get blocked - I drive 70-80 miles a day and on motorway for half of it. Damn annoying, car got to be recovered to dealers this week - will see what happens!

Mine has started doing similar where it takes ages to clear. Took over 60 miles the other day! :eek: !! Phoned the dealers and they said it's likely a sensor. Apparently they keep them in stock now (it must be a common thing!) so they are going to have a look next week when it goes in for something else.

hope it is just the sensor - we will find out tomorrow at dealer's!!! Should not be anything else - drive many miles so regen should not be a problem
