Right then, not good news..

Noticed the car starting to over heat on the way home from work so tried the heater and nothing but cold air. Checked the oil temp and it was 112.

Got it home and popped the bonnet to find water everywhere and the water bottle empty ? no hoses loose that i could see so dont know whats gone wrong.

Dropped it off a Midland VW who at first look mentioned the radiator but dont know till tomorrow when they call me with the damage.

BUMMER !!!

i had something similar, but it was the pipe that comes from the front of the engine that came off (due to a bent radiator l-arm that it sits on)! ts bloody scary ain't it?
hopefully it gets sorted soon mate! and not much is damaged!

well engines are quite strong anyway, my mate drove 12miles after something exploded as well, got home, got it towed to a garage, and was/still is fine, no head gasket problem or nothing, and that was his golf gti 2.0 8v, so hopefully its fine mate, don't stress too much!
