Basically my question is whats all done to your car "engine" wise

I mean air filters, panel filters etc..
Have you felt any difference at all ?

I think Im going to buy one soon, just want to hear opinions first

And wheres the best place to get one ?

EDIT Another query - Would the Gearknob and gaitor from any SEAT 5 speed fit the mk3 ibiza too ? Spotted one off a leon F/S on here. Just wondering

Many thanks !!

I haven't done anything either, no point imo, I'm just saving the money so I can afford the insurance on a Cupra.

best you can do really is an pannel filter or open cone filter they cheap enough. From there a cat-back system should open it up a bit more make it rev more freely and.....sound better which will make it seem faster anyway.....if you wanted to spend lots of money on it go all the way with full custom system, throttle boddies, cams, bigger throttle body, increase the displacment, would need a remap aswell obviously need a remap but for what you get in return for the money i dont think it would really be worth it..

Bilstein b4 shock absorbers and Kept it very well maintained, thats it these engines will never give great power as they are designed to produce lots of torque at low revs

A remap ?
No chance, for the cost of that and to get anyone to touch it is def not worth it

Think i heard, it gives an extra 5 - 10 bhp for a good couple hundred pounds !!

read what i said again...i didnt say just a remap i said after all the mods i listed you would obviously need a remap if u were to spend stupid amounts on the engine not including turbo's or superchargers then you could see good power gains with cams, throttle body's etc.

Not much point doing anything to do with the engine imo, only improvements you can make reasonably would be better throttle responce and 1 or 2 more BHP.

Best way to make it faster is to make it faster round corners..... Coilovers, ARB, Strut braces, Better tires, etc etc.

i can make yoru car faster in about 5 hours....
strip the thing!!!

seriously.. for one day remove:
passanger seat
rear bench and back rests
spare tyre
any audio stuff
get rid of everything in the car

its soooo much fun ;)
it dont make your engine more powerful but it improves the power to weight ratio.

I second this!

Makes a massive difference shedding all the weight in the car, makes it super quick through the bends... although from my experience getting rid of the spare wheel isn't the best of ideas :help:
