Right, im polishing my inlet manifold and was just wondering if the black seat things in the manifold can be removed....? The pic i stole from wilz might explain better, lol.

You can remove them yeah, they just unscrew with a 19mm hex bit or allen key. Your probably best off replacing them with some new ones from the dealer and using some high temperature silicone sealant.

Luckily or unfortunately I do have a double garage and we have a competition pool table where my car should be, the other half is my dad’s car,
So the yellow beast has to stay outside on the drive!

that was only half way through the polishing, just do it yourself take your time and work your way up the grades of sandpaper to say 1500 or 2000 was ample for me then use some cutting compund paste, polish and then the autosol or the likes. Takes alot of time though.

I spent a good few hours on it last night, definately going to get it finished off by a pro, lol.
They can be removed as previously stated, when i done mine i used a oil drain plug set and used the body cos it's 19mm, ideally if you can find it 20mm would be better, and i had to break one of mine out so some new ones won't hurt they are only pence form the dealers and putting them back in i didn't use any sealent as they are i tight fit, been ok so far.
Got hold of a 19mm and it just slipped.....

I went extreme and removed the casting marks to begin with, much better look.
just leave them in then, there not that much of a hassle.

You've got to unbolt the rail , 2x 5mm allen head bolts, unclip the injector wiring from the top of the injectors and take the black wiring tidy of the rail for the injector wiring, disonnect the vacumm hose from the fpr and then just pull them out of the seats, i left mine still connect to the rail and pulled the whole lot out and to one side.
