Hi I just wondered if the people that have done this, have any pictures of how much material they have removed from the brace for it to clear the bonnet lifter and to help with positioning.

I would especially like some pictures from people with jabba sport induction kits, just to see what they have done with there heat shield.

Any fitting tips would be appreciated :)

Thanks for your time. :D

I think it depends slightly on brace and the car because everything has a +/- tolerance.
Ruddmeister could just about wriggle his brace in but i had to notch mine.
Best bet is offer it up to the car if you need to take some off, do it a little at a time, its trial and error mate

there is a little clip on the bonnet lift at the bottom that comes off so you can take the bonnet right back and prop up i cut a small section out of my strut, got a picture but not that good

Thanks for all the replies! :D

I’d read that most could be wiggled under and this is what worried me as there’s no chance of mine doing that. I’ve had the bonnet lifter unclipped, slid the brace into place and it won’t clip back on as its fouling too much. The brace thins down a lot at this point anyway and was I worried about taking away more material, in case I was doing something wrong. I thought some close up pictures might have shown if I was doing something wrong or had it in the wrong position. :(

I just cut a notch out of mine and then touched it up with some black paint to stop the rustiness!

Got round to fitting this the other day. Just thought I’d post some pictures. I Had to remove material from the brace in the end, didn’t just bend the lifter bracket. Like some. :p

I used 25mm M10 stanless bolts, nuts and washers. Tidy!;)

I also had to remove a fair amount of my heat shield, finished it with some pvc trim.

I think overall it looks fairly good! :D

Thanks for the advice everyone:)

there's one thing missing from this pic......... A nice polished Charge pipe

Yeah I was thinking about buying a polished un-silenced one but I thought it would make the inlet manifold look poo! What do you think? :)
