Aerial hole!

I am thinking of getting a 'shark fin' aerial, but dont know what the hole on the leon roof is like!!??

Is it just a round hole? What size is it?

Anyone have a shark fin that they would recommend?

wouldnt bother tbh, just get a short aerial, i.e s2000, much nicer looking and not beemer esque

I put a C2 aerial on yesterday but now my reception for the radio is really bad, have ordered a booster, was told you should alway use these when using a non-oem radio. Will let you know if it works otherwise the standard one will need to go back on.

If i trimmed the OEM one down to 2" i doubt the reception would be ok.

As it happens it turned up at lunch time, if i get a chance i will fit it when i get home, but it might have to wait untill the weekend. I will post with results, hope it works coz i don't want to put the old aerial back on.

Ok its fitted, bit of a pain getting the wire in the power aerial socket but as soon as i connect this you could hear the reception get loads better. So, if you have changed your radio/stereo or aerial and reception is naff get one of these because they work. I paid no more than £5 for mine from ebay.
