SEAT have finally announced a price for the SC Sport 1.6 DSG, £11,745, so have just put the order in, hopefully should arrive mid to end of March. Have gone for the White, with dark tinted windows, probably a bu66er to keep clean but should look good :D

Now the waiting part beings

Its the 1.6 105PS. The DSG will be on the Sport version of the SC and on the SE version of the 5 door, and on the 1.4 on the Cupra. I think the first right hand drive DSGs will be getting built in week 6 (mid feb) so I should be looking at delivery mid to end of March

Hello
I'am foreigner and this will be my first post in this forum(very nice one)... but anyway:)

Are you sure that there is 1.6 DSG on 5 door version. If so I will get one for sure.

Thanks in advance

Slowly getting there, the dealer tells me they have a "build commission" but still no build date.

Interestingly although there is no sign of the DSG on the UK website, if you go in the Spanish site and load the config programme, the DSG is now listed, but in Spain its available on all 3 trim levels on the SC, in the UK its only to be on the Sport.

Got a build week (week 8) which is this week, so maybe it was built earlier this week - and hopefully not getting done after lunch today ;)

Now just need to get it transported to blightly so I can get it in 3 or 4 weeks. As long as I've got it by the end of March so I can take it to the Isle of Man - Mountain road, no speed limit :D

Tell us how you feel about the car when it arrives (how it drives etc.). Some pics would be nice :D

Car evidently sitting at the port waiting to get on a boat. Am I right in thinking they route them through Pasajes and ship to Sheerness? So this weekend is out. Possibility for next weekend if it gets shipped over this week.

No you don't get paddles only the gear shifter. The dsg is quicker than the 1.6 manual and I think you can have it in the SE spec also.

Just heard that the Ibiza is still in Spain, still waiting to be loaded onto a boat, so I won't get it for another couple of weeks. Now being quoted end of March beginning of April delivery. Not happy

getting annoyed now [:@]
Another 2 weeks goes by and no update about delivery, the whole attitude seems to be "it will get put on a ship, maybe, one day, when we feel like getting round to it". If it wasn't a case of biting my nose off to spite my face, I'd cancel the order...

p.s. can you tell I'm not a happy bunny

i was under the impression DSGs were all flappy paddles...otherwise its a standard automatic gearbox with the semi-auto ability branded simply AUTOMATIC

some good(ish) news.. my Ibiza is booked onto a ship leaving Spain on Monday (30th), so hopefully I'll have it by the end of the following week, although thats Easter weekend, and if anyone drops chocolate onto the seats they die :p

As for flappy paddles, no, my current Leon hasn't got them, just the tiptronic function on the gearstick, which to be honest I've used maybe half a dozen times in 3 years. The "sports" mode I use a lot - especially, and I can't think why this might be, when there's a BMW at the lights next to me :)

At last, shiney new Ibiza has arrived at the dealers. Picking it up on Tuesday (21st), thats 11 weeks after it was built. Problem appears to have been that the shipping company have reduced the number of sailings, so backlogs of cars waiting to be shipped, but not enough of a backlog to have another ship put on the route.

So starts a long weekend...
