Honestly don't know when the next turbo will happen. I'm going to have my map checked over and tweaked if required once the SEM is running properly yes.

Quite possibly, but he still has to support his previous customers with that platform.

Machine polishing is now complete, car only had light swirls and minor cobwebbing so Menzerna PO85RD on a green polishing pad took it all out. After correction I did the whole car with Poorboys 'Black Hole' show glaze followed by 50/50 Connoisseur wax - so the paintwork is all finished and looking superb. Took 2 solid days, around 10 hours of work.

This week the SEM manifold is going back on.

Can't believe all the time and effort you've put in under the bonnett tarting it up Rob.

You really need to concentrate and sort out the turbo and make it into a properly sorted car.

Get that GT28RS on there and you'll never look back. All the ancillary's you've spent on it FMIC/Inlet and you would be most of the way there by now on the B/T front.

Whatever floats your boat I suppose.

There really isn't much 'tart up' under the bonnet Ian, but I cannot stand a manky, unkept engine bay. Have you ever seen a build thread for a concourse car, mine is nothing compared to that! Anyway, it's my hobby, I enjoy it, life doesn't have to be at full throttle, big power doesn't really mean that much to me, I'd rather have a great all-rounder than a one-trick pony.

Spending money on a few pipes and hoses doesn't compare to spending £3k+ on a big turbo kit.

Like I said whatever floats your boat Rob. Painting pipes changing hoses for bright coloured is not my bag personally. Big turbo kit's I believe are your aspirations seemingly too....my advice is choose wisely.

Many thanks! Indeed Ian, each to their own. The look of my car is complete, so I am saving for the Backdraft 325bhp turbo kit now, I don't crave any more power than that nor do I want to do internals on a 38k engine. Hopefully I'll be able to afford it later this year, but for now I will rag the hybrid GT2X hard!

Rob have you read DPJ's thread on his benifits from Methanol being set up properly.
He's getting big results with it. Perhaps theres more in the GT2X set with methanol set up correctly

I very much doubt that

what Rob and I are running on the gt2x is very much at the limit of it (or certianly getting near it)...any more and I think it will cause it to go bang

When I was at Bill's getting it setup, it did not have a great deal more to give when pushing it at 1.5bar (technically there could be more but hey I want it in one piece :))

The difference Jamie, is that the extra power with wmi is being made on timing, not from boost.
