Lowering springs

Got some more cash now after re-map fancy lowering the leon, think it will look loads better just a bit lower

don't wanna spend spend much more than £150 so found some eibach springs
for £135 up to 40mm drop,

was looking at full suspension kits but they are a fortune for decent ones. Is it worth putting just springs on or hold off for a while and save for the full lot.

ALSO HATE THE DULL STANDARD LOOKING CLOCKS IN MY CAR WOULD LOVE SOME OF THE LEON WHITE CLOCKS
DOES ANY ONE KNOW IF YOU CAN JUST SWAP THESE OVER OR IS OT NOT POSSIBLE.

I did exactly that with Eibach springs. Once fitted (£120) had to have 4-wheel alignment done (£80) to actually make it feel OK. Then a few months later the rear shocks had ruined the rear tyres (£220) as they were worn and I then replaced the shocks too (£490 fitted and 4-wheel aligned) which meant doing all the work for the springs again plus the 4-wheel alignment again which with all the labour probably cost me £350 or so more than doing it all in one go at the outset.

I now have the full Eibach proline setup and its really good, not too low - but for my tastes, low enough. Some pics here (taken last week).

Thanks for that just the info i was looking for seems worth saving up in the long run,

pics look good just the kind of drop i was looking for mine is just a bit too high specially at the back

u can get jamex coilover kits off the bay for 180 delivered..and i had them on mine for ages n the ride was sound! i only took em off because i thought i was selling up

You can buy them off ebay.....I've never seen the Jamex for £180 tho there were about £230 I think?

The hottuning ones are about £160-170

There pretty bumpy tho you'd be better off with shocks and springs for every day use

So what would you suggest for a decent set of springs and shocks for under £250?

To be honest I've not owned my leon long enough to comment on shocks and springs but I know coilovers [especially cheap ones] are bloody hard.......I've just bought a set for mine but only because I'm on a budget and don't use it that much, I'd get shocks and springs if I used it every day.

You could send Damian @ DPM a message he seems to be very clued up and offers a forum discount I think
