Im thinking of fitting 20mm hub centric spacers to the rear but woundered if it will look odd without any on the front end, also if i fit these will lowering by 30mm on 17"'s cause problems,I would greatly appriciate some feed back as i dont have alot of cash and dont want to buy and be disapointed.

A lot of people on here have fitted 20mm hubcentric spacers to the rear and haven't had problems. As you can see in this pic of my car, the rear wheels sit further in than the front

Spacing out the rear brings them inline with the front wheels, makes the handling slightly better and also improves the looks. Spacing out the front is not advised as it can effect the steering geometry. Spacers are next on my list :)

Thanks for that mate ,I will go for the 20mm if thats what you have as it looks fine .When i change my fr 16" stovk alloys to 17" ones will i be ok with a 30mm spring drop with those spacers and what wheels do you have by the way ,as they look great as does the car!.
Finaly and sorry for the questions but i went up to the body shop with my bumpers to be painted yesturday and my paint code shows two colours very similar though one has a slight bit more redish fleck in it did you get shown 2 very similar colours to choose from .Ive gone for the one that has no sign of the fleck but i have to say both looked bloody close.
cheers jamie

I haven't got rear spacers fitted to my car yet. The picture above shows my car without spacers. 30mm drop should be fine mate. I've dropped my car 80mm at the back and 60mm at the front. The wheels that i've got are 17" Octavia vRS alloys which I refurbed in a dark grey colour.

When I got my rear bumper painted the guy in the bodyshop had about 5 different shades for my paint code. He just put the colour chart against my car in sunlight and picked the closest match.
