Picked it up last evening from Irfan/tyronne at m1 autos. Top company. Let me take home the k1 even though I didnt have the v5 (log book) for the ibiza I was part exchanging!
Anyway first impressions looks wise its a real head turner. All my mates love it and love how people will look out their car windows to get a glance when at the traffic lights.
The car is really quick, although im starting to get used to it but im a abnormal speed freak anyway, think a dash of revo is on the cards sometime soon.
Also the interior is better in person than in the pics imo. I used to think it was bad but its really not imo. Perfectly acceptable imo, no its not a golf or audi but I think personally its better than the astra vxr and on par with the focus.
Sound wise from the outside its lovely although a little isolated inside with the windows up.
On my way home from north london driving throug the city I was getting 10mpg
Then driving it economically with a few inbetween blasts I was getting 18.5mpg. I hope it gets a bit better once the engine has some mileage under its belt. Im just glad I dont use it for commuting or anything like that.
Been questioned by the police once already also as I was filling her up. Police where nice though and made some nice comments about the car and then gave me some advice on how to try and reduce the risk of it being stolen as apparently the area I live in is known for break ins. Explains why I pay so much insurance.
So far I absoluetly love it, apart from the mpg lol.
Now that I have actually driven it for a prolonged period the first mods is gonna be audio. Car sits low enough for me to not warrant coilovers at the moment, and think I will leave the exhaust for a while till the car and me being the driver gets known to my local police squad.
So yeah nice car, just need to get a tv in there now and some better speakers and some subs.
