You tap the indicator and it flashes 3 times, saves putting the stalk down and ten up to cancel.

Should be fitted to BMW's they might use them more then ;)

they are fitted on the astras but get really anooying after a while, depends on the quality of the kit i suppose

yeah i had them in my vectra and believe me... if you ever see a vauxhall driving down the motorway alternating their indicators left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right... you get my point. ITS NOT THEIR FAULT!

the kit in the vags didnt make me want to hang myself... so they must be a bit better to live with!! i will absolutely be buying these!

oh and good shout on the instruction pdf richellis

I bought this and had a go at installing it but I could not get the pins out of the factory loom to place them in the new connector block. Might have another go when I have a spare afternoon. It's not difficult to do once you have the knack of getting the terminals out... I was temptet to cut and solder the wires, but didn't in case it did not work.

Our Octy VRS (Mk2) has these - you can switch the indicators on as normal, or you can push the stalk to just short of locking into the up or down position to have the indicators flash 3 times and auto cancel. Not a whole lot of use to be honest, and not the same as the Vauxhall system which does not lock into the up or down position whilst indicating.

by the way lads - VW sell an add on unit for this that you plug straight into the CCM.

Let me check the p/n - someone pm'd it to me on Edition 38.

ah excuse me guys - as said above it does plug in just behind the hazard switch. Apparently the relay and loom is just under £30, but a bit fiddly.

p/n is 000998229A apparently

on the bora you had to pop out 3 or 4 terminals out of the hazzerd light switch plug and plug in some wires from the kiti

Honestly, you guys would spend £45 on a thing that flashes your indicators 3 times for you.

Mental, you guys have too much money

When I awake bright and fresh each morn, I rub my eyes, note the time, then decide..... do I need the convenience and ease of comfort indicators ? Yes.... I take the VRS. If I feel that I won't be needing them today, I take the Leon.

Best of both worlds and it only cost £17k to have a 2nd car to enable such choice. Bargain.
