A gulf ibiza! Nice idea but im thinking subtle with the union thing.

Anyway.....what am I doing thinking about how it looks, theres lots of prep to do before all that.

On a performance note, megasquirt? Nice to learn something and get the 8v running sweet with the added benefit of being future proof

Just had a quote with my current insurers and they want £330 for TPFT with a 2k millage limit. Thats mirroring my 6 years NCB I have on the mk4. My mk4 doesnt cost me much more than that

Will megasquirt make that much difference on a standard non-modded engine?

Ollie

if mapped properly it'll flatten out the torque curve and therefore it'll pull like a train through the whole rev range, combined with a decent airfilter and exhaust and you're laughing, it'll be quicker than you would first think ;)

jenk you're lucky, my insurance is 3 times that ffs

I was hoping somewere near the £200 mark.

Thats what I have read about squirting an 8v, get rid of those flat spots and hold power through the revs. Digifant holds back the juice near top end I think?
