Squeel coming on boost.

Only happens between 2500-3500 RPM, on close to/full throtle.

The noise sounds like a sqeeling brake disc.

Im hoping its a boost leak, but could it be the turbo warning me its had enough??

Car is possibly sooting a little more than normal, but feels the same power as usual...

What do you think?

sounds a bit like a boost leak to me, this is the same as what my mate gets in his hybrid tdi leon, check all hoses there is just enough of a leak to squeel and not pop off a hose if that makes sense

I've replaced alot of my clips with forge ones... Hopefully it's one of the two standard clips that are leaking.

could be one of them, the boost is finding the weakest part and the standard clips will be the weakest change them for the forge ones aswell

how much are these talked about forge clips,

are you still running the OE pipework

Yup still running original pipework. Forge do a kit for the front mount on the Ibiza using the seat sport intecooler, and its about £200-£250 if I recall properly.

I replaced the top two hose clips on my pipes, as they were easy to get to (if im honest, I couldnt be bothered to replace the others), but as usual, its come back to haunt me.

Ive ordered 70-90mm hose clips from Forge at £2.03 each, with £2.05 delivery.

Got my forge clips today, and put them on... and I still have the squeel about 2500-3000rpm.

The only pipes not with a stronger clip on are the push on ones (like the one near the egr part), but non of these have oil round them, in fact non did at all.

Ive not managed to get right under the car to have a look at the ones that go upto the turbo... I guess thats the last place it could be???

If not its the turbo???

Its in at SEAT for a respray next week, so I may get them to have a look, or drop it into AMD in a months time.

How is it connected to the turbo?? Not one of those stupid clips is it?? Or cant you lash a Mikalor or Strong jubilee round it???

So how do you get around the problem if its a weak link?

If the only option is a new pipe from the turbo to the pancake pipe, its errrr crap.
