Well done Jonny Adam!

Just wanted to say well done to Jonny Adam on securing a much deserved touring car drive.

I'm sure everyone from SCN will be rooting for him (as long as he's behind CVR!) and I'm certain that everyone from the former SEAT Sport UK will be behind him!

Congratulations Jonny! :funk:

You have all took the words from my mouth. I am sad to see him leave TCR where I saw him for the last season of his tenure but the most important thing for me to see is him going on to better things and to get what he deserved.

Don't worry - TCR are still in the BTCC support paddock for you to put your enthusiasm behind!

Best outfit in racing I fink!

Ha!

I think that's premature...I'm mostly controlling, obsessive about motors and covered in grease.

:-o Aside from being controlling, or maybe not, you sound like the ideal woman for most of the male members of SCN. ;)

Controlling....obsessive about motors.....covered in grease?

I think I would agree with mycoyote![B)]

Anyway...we are digressing (As nice as it is to talk about Hunnie). I think atleast some can perhaps go along with the sentiment that in the SCC Leon, whilst he clearly proved his potential, the Leon perhaps acted as a glass ceiling (??). And the 320si, whilst not a SEAT sadly, I think may certainly be the one (and perhaps only) car fast and more competitive enough to be able to take his skills and potential further and perhaps far enough to develop him into the race winner I reckon we can all be happy about.

And maybe like Tom Onslow Cole before him winning a works drive won't be too far away.

We'll see - it's brutal out there in the BTCC pack (especially with reverse grids) so I hope he holds his own.

This thing about 'winning' a drive is a bit tricky really. Obviously a works team doesn't take on a rubbish driver but the third drive is self funded so esentially - that works drive is based on ability to pay not just talent. How many of those very talented young drivers are falling off the radar because they don't have cash to take to a team?
