I have a 2001 Ibiza Cupra and every time i get to around 4000RPM the boost cuts off totally. This doesnt seem to happen in first gear but for all others. i have taken it to seat and they said it was the MAF . So i had them change that but it is still doing it. I really dont know where to start. no leaks in any pipes. all coil packs are fine. new spark plugs. tried a mates N75 valve.. i still have the engine managment light on also.. does any one have any idea about this as i really cant afford seat to have my car for a week to tell me the same thing.... :help: any :help: would be apprechaited.

This kinda happens to me, if you put your foot down in 3rd or 4th, for a split second around 3k revs it will 'jump' back and then continue, sometimes twice in one hit.

It's not the clutch thats for sure, and it's not the MAF.

I'd go with the N75 like others are saying - i'll be changing mine this week.

if you do try a new one, why not try a Forge manual boost controller instead. Boost is smoother and harder and removed any hesitant issues that I had with the N75 valve.

maybe not the same symptons/issues with everyone, but with all people who have swapped the N75 for an MBC, they have never looked back

i changed my coilpacks today, was worried because the new ones are completely different from old.. anyhoo thought job was a good un, until i hit around 4000 revs in 2 or 3, i didnt try any higher as i didnt want to do any damage. no codes on vagcom... would a faulty n75 not show up in vagcom??

im stuck and need to get this fixed as im picking up a new car tomorrow and selling the coop

Im going to borrow my mates N75 valve tommorow, I know mine is a N75 'C' so i'll see what happens, his is an F I believe.

I will let you know the outcome.

The only other thing I can think of is a sticking dump valve, but i'll try the n75 first and let you know, as it if it's that for me, it may be the same for you.

Hey folks, just to update you all, I tried my mates N75 valve yesterday, his was also a C and it seemed to solve the issue, although didn't try it for long, but the car seemed to drive better - albeit a bit flat even though they were both C valves.

Im going to order a replacement valve - the 'J' version seems to be the popular bet on here.

Hey guys, I had my friend bring back a scanner from Vindis and went for a drive after swapping the N75 and the maff. But found out it was one of my Coilpacks was a bit faulty and was misfiring ... I cant believe SEAT did not find this !!

All is well now . Personally i didnt realise a coilpack could just be a little faulty as all previous have just gone.
