And wild willy do you have a build thread or anything I can have a read of about you setup? thanks
No Bill, I'm hoping you are going to offer something to do the job.do you have a better flowing manifold wild willy?
do you have a better flowing manifold wild willy?
Why not, what g/s air mass readings do you get and how much boost at red line are you running to get 282bhp.so your think your get 310bhp out of a k04 hybrid willy?
Theres every point in going for a hybrid, £500 for 30bhp or so is a much better deal than you got.Exactly Bill...without a decent manifold to flow more air what's the point...as you said the OE manifold is pants for flow/power.
The upshot is decent manifold will cost and unfortunately a decent one that doesn't crack will cost although I expect most crack in the end.

i'm sure you can make 300 bhp. Any chance you can get some logs for us to look at.not sure mate

Its the same old thing though as i know it won't be cheap (quality never is), it will probably cost the same as a BT mani which is more flexible in future proofing.
I'm sure i can get to 310bhp with just the hybrid and maybe the intake mani and i don't want to push my rods past 320bhp. But i know a high flowing k04 mani will be the icing on the cake and allow me to run the turbo less hard to achieve the same power.
I know JBS are looking to release thier cast version sometime this year but i'm looking for something before that and i always thought that equal length was a superior product to the cast version.
Any Maff readings from tweaking Johnathons hybrid so i can compare with my own, please.

Following this with interest. Seems pointless considering a hybrid though if noone is producing a matching exhaust manifold just yet?
Badger are you saying that due t the restrictions on any k04 (hybrid or not) that you reckon 300-320bhp is unlikely?
Do hybrids still spool up at the same time as oem and just hold the boost higher and for longer?
Who ever comes up with a upgrade k04 manifold is going to make a fortune!!!
It must be good, you've been trying to flog the car ever since you had it installed.I don't think so you don't know what deal I got and in any case you can't compare a 'proper' B/T with a heath robinson affair!!
Good luck
