• Hi Guest There will be essential maintenance on the server on Monday 10th November from 5am meaning the website will be offline for a period of time. We will do everything to ensure the downtime is kept to a minimum.
I am going to need some new brakes soon. But I am going KO3 hyrbrid in the future.

Would EBC turbo groove discs all round with green stuff pads be ok with that setup? Only problem is there standard size, 280mm.

I dont really want to 'skimp' on the brakes. But if that would provide adequate breaking I would go for them.

I have done a search but cant really find any definet answers on brake upgrades.

Some links, prices, options etc would be nice.

I know Brembos would be a good option, but I have a budget of about 300-400.

280's can cope yes..
EBC disks.. ultimax... or my eliptically grooved brembo ones. but combine them with a decent pad like ferodo ds2500's and high temp brake fluid

Brembo grooved disks + DS2500 + Motul setup being used here on MrsB Lupo 1.8t @ Oulton Park

Holy moly, when you think how light the Lupo is, to get the brakes running that hot is quite something. There again I don't suppose its running standard 1.8T power!

no its REVO chipped to 220bhp. stock AUM golf engine inside it

that pic always comes out, i love it

the green stuff pads couldnt even cope with mine on stage 1, no way would they take hybrid.

Ill be using this setup for my hybrid unless a set of 2nd hand brembos come up.

Glad to hear it copes! :D
