Hi Guy's,

I have a Black Magic LCR an am having them refurbed in the next couple of months.

I have thought and thought and thought about what colour to go for. I did decide on black but when I was speaking with the bodyshop yesterday he has kinda put me off! [He reckons silver would be better:blink:]

What I would like is some more ideas from people on here who have had theirs done and maybe a few pics, just so I can decide or get more confused!:)

Is black on black a little too much?

Yeah, black on a yellow car looks great because of the contrast between the colours. They would just look lost on a black car IMO and as a feature piece they want to stand out without being too daft. Either a diamond cut polished finish or a (possibly) dark grey?

Same here, i'd go for dark grey or if you don't mind cleaning them 179 times a day what about white?? it's all about contrast though, i had a battered BMW e30 320i in white and sprayed the wheels black and it looked great! (apart from the rust!!!!)

I think this years going to be the year of funky coloured wheels.

I say white or go for something a bit different like a grey with blue detail.

I hope to get mine done in the near future, and was also thinking about going black at first, but after chatting to people on here i've decided to go for a light silver colour, similar to the colour on my mates alloys on his MGZS180, i think it will look nice. But each to their own, if you wanna go black, then go black mate. Good luck and post pics once you have decided.......

Just put this on another similar thread.... and it is going to sound stupid but... saw an ad on tv todday for the the new fiat punto sport, that had black wheels with a white rim edge and edging on the edges of the spokes and wondered if this would suit the LCR wheels?

I have seen a picture of a black LCR with black wheels and it makes them look really small.
I have a black LCR and was toying with the idea but after seeing the picture it didnt look to good.
It might look ok though if it was very low
