As usual the car looks stunning rob! I’m really liking those wheels!

Are they lighter than the comps? Or have you gone for them purely on there looks? :)

I'll have to agree with Rob on the importance of the money. Unfortunatelly most of us have a limited budget with which we have to get creative in order to achieve our goal.
I've realized that location is also very important. I mean that for me, for example, its very difficult to have access to a backdraft kit because it's very expensive.
Besides I haven't heard of anyone using one here and that would mean nobody to share experiences or to expect help from.
That would not be the case for someone living in Europe and neither would be for someone living in the States.
If I were you Rob, I would definitely go for the backdraft kit :p
By the way, I've just seen the new pictures of you Leon and it's simply gorgeous

Slightly lighter I think yes, Mainly for the colour and a slightly smoother design, I couldn't be bothered with trying to get the Comp's redone in gloss black, just way too much hassle.

Nowhere near, i.e. Norway.
Looks very "hungry"! What a difference it made. Very nice!

None yet no. Got the new rims and tyres put together today, so will be fitting them tomorrow, then it's time to machine polish the entire car and apply the SEAT Sport graphics, then we're nearly there for the 2009 season.

Final thing is the 70mm throttle body for the SEM manifold - if I *ever* eventually get it I will refit them SEM and that is it on the performance front until I've saved up enough for the Backdraft GT28RS 325bhp kit.

New wheels and tyres are on the car now, old ones are sold and away. Have to admit the gloss black rims look awesome and match the newly painted bodywork parts, the mix of blue and black looks great. Pics soon once I've machine polished the car, got rid of all the swirls and scratches and sealed and waxed the paintwork. Got a little spraying to do in the engine bay and some small parts coming back from powdercoating soon too.

Just got the baffled sump to fit and oil cooler to hook up and that's it for a while. I'll be saving up for the 325bhp Backdraft big turbo kit.

Yep, they are lighter wheels, slightly smoother design and gloss black.

I couldn't be bothered trying to get the Comps powdercoated as I'd have to remove them, get the tyres off, send them away, wait a couple of weeks for them, delivered back, tyres back on ....... yada, yada! Was probably cheaper and alot less hassle just to buy the TD Pro Race 1.2's - got them quite cheap anyway.
