BTCC Brands Hatch 5th April 09

Well the time has come around quick, so its time to start planning for the season.

The Barmy Army have pledged another season of support and it starts at Brands,

For those that are interested, we will be camping again....... Not sure if its a good idea but it will be fun finding out.

We aim to get to the site early Saturday morning, chill for the day and then make our way over to the South Bank on Sunday. Not sure yet if we will take the cars across, but definitly will pitch tent at the usual place.

Unfortunatly there will be no catering facilities this year as we aim to be travelling light, but it would be good if we could still muster up some support for the Seats racing.....

I await the slating from the rest of the Army for non commitment etc, but unusually for me I will miss this one as I will be on holiday on the Algarve with the family.
I will however, expect real time updates from you guys at track side while I’m sitting by the pool in our luxury villa sipping a nice cool beer.
Anyone know if Sky will be covering BTCC this year?
I will really miss the usual muddy and freezing conditions at Brands camp site, but I will be there in spirit (that’s not JD Lee ) see you all at Thruxton.

Ah yes commitment is quite an over used word, but its quite appropriate in this instance.

Race day ticket & weekend camping booked! I've also invested in a new arctic style sleeping bag in an attempt to stop my blood having the consistency of a raspberry slush puppy by the early hours of Sunday morning, I'm sure it would have frozen solid last season if it wasn't for it's high alcohol content!

Whats the drill when it comes to getting onto the South bank on the day? I know SCN will not have passes for this one but I still fancy getting up there as it save me carrying all the camera stuff round all day.

Is it just say to a marshall as you go in that you wish to go up there and then pay on the gate?
