Yes, thats the one you want but you should change the waterpump for a metal impellered one at the same time. Its cheaper from VW spares as postage is free: http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=212

You will also need a hydraulic tensioner damper just in case the one fitted is leaking hydraulic fluid from the piston seal, 9 times out of 10 this is the case.

Water pump: http://www.water-pumps.org/

Tensioner damper: http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=215

Edit,

You'll also need some coolant for when you change the water pump. All of your coolant is lost when you replace this item.

Here you go: http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=1269

You can get away with just buying the basic kit you mentioned but you're inviting trouble further down the line by trying to do it on the cheap.

any other ideas on where supply metal impellors and which exact one is required?

JBS Auto Designs
Jabba Sport
Awesome GTi
JKM Performance

All of the above should be able to sell you a waterpump with a brass impeller.

All VAG 1.8T waterpumps are the same from 150bhp AEB engine up to 225bhp BAM engine.

Hi Mate,

I recently brough this: http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.php?xProd=11031&xSec=357

it is a good quality kit that contains everything you need. My local garage were very impressed with the quality of the gear, they said it was good as if not better than the OE stuff they took off!

I think it even contains the new tensioner that Cupra Ross mentions.

Cheers
