im not a fan of leather...id stick to the good old cloth recaros...only i they were more 'buckety'.

as for colours,id go for yellow as it stands out more,and is rarer. on the other hand, black does look like a mean machine, i was at a coin toss as to whether to get a black or yellow. Yellow won the toss :)

biggest advice i can give is;
you will defntly be noticed more in a yellow car,if thats what your after.else you might as well go for black.

I get the most positive comments from the 30+'s and middle aged, they love how it gleams in the sunlight after I've slaved for hours cleaning every nook and cranny but appreciate it being a 'hot hatch', yet a little grown up at the same time. The 20+'s around here all want one over their mkIV Gti's and the teens just drool :D. I love driving past a group of people on the the street, looking back in the rear view mirror and see them all watching me drive into the distance, what can I say, the LCR is a good looking machine even in factory state. It does attract the racers though but unlike my old Honda Civic, the chav's steer well clear, it's normally Mr BMW, Audi, R32 that likes a go now.

I think only once has a circa 14year old girl made a point of telling me that I have a "nice car" haha.

Looks like yellow is winning the vote!

As you can guess from my sig, mine is black, but to be honest I always wanted the Platinum grey one.

At the end of the day it depends what colour the right car is. Keep looking for that private sale with low miles at the right price in mint condition and you wont care about the colour.

Black is difficult to keep clean, but when it's shiny it's well worth it. Yellow is just not for me.

EDIT lol only just saw how old this thread is - sorry peeps!

A black LCR look great, when clean, but that lasts for approx 10mins, then it attracts every poxy spec of dust, pollen, sap, bird crap, water/rain marks, scratch etc & looks 'orrible - PITA!!!!

To avoid swirls on black paint, I'm told, it's best to apply polish in straight lines, but then buff-off circular.

TBH, I wish I'd gone for red, silver or tungsten - NOT BLACK! [:@]
