Ah but not when your second from top in a main dealer bodyshop its not :D! Just the cost of paint, i think so!! Costing me about £250 which is paint at cost!

So not too bad at all. all in all i think i have about a grand in this car again now that includes buying the gti too and its gonna look **** hot hopefully if all goes well

lucky you i was going to get a car painted white and with my panel beater mate doing all the prep work it was still going to cost 600-800 to paint it. still alot of car for a bag of sand.

Still £800 is cheap! Well i have done Most of prep and everything myself, and between myself and one of the painters sharing the paintwork when we get chance!

yeah 800 is cheap since most people wanted 1500- 2000 because it was getting painted from silver too white everywhere. engine out etc.

Yeah yeah they sound about right too me!

Well i bought a mk2 gti, which im pulling the motor out of for it, i used to have a cupra but i dont wanna 20vt this cause its not really that different, so im gonna put this ADL motor on carbs to mix it up a little, not what everyone would do and im sure quite a few people will have bad things to say about it, but i dont give a monkeys, it will be cool.

So The bay and everything will be getting done during summer ready for the motor. so i may just be rockin the 1.4 through the show season!

other than that i just have my interior and shiz to back in when its done did

Hi ho guys and gals!!
Well i made a little progress this past week,
I put the coilovers on saturday morning then went to the unit, pissed about in a bobcat for a bit then started to pull the motor out of the gti!

Sunday morning headed down to the unit again and did some more bobcat freestyle! Pulled the motor out of the gti complete on the bed! Only to find, It has a full Poly bush kit on the front and a bigger ARB :D. Saved myself a couple hundred quid there! Im gonna put some pictures up later in the day but i wanna know what peoples think i should do!

Do i just paint the engine bay same as car and just chemiacally clean the motor and stick it in, Or paint the bay straight black and get the motor all done chemically black!!! Any ideas guys? im stumped!!

Thanks guys, yeah i prefer the colour in the shade rather than the sun, it almost goes purpley which is a bit gay but its all good, im sure it will be reet when its all done!

Pcd adapters are on way from Zee Germans as we speak so just gotta finish polishing the wheels up and scrape the barrell for some money for tires.

Fantastic choice of colour, glad you went with adp's suggestion, looking great, you've had your work cut out for you and I admire what you've done to get your babe back.

If I were you.. I'd stick with them wheels ;)
