sorry to hijack a little here, i have no power going to my drivers window switch, is this also something to do with the regulator or motor? i have read up on the the switches failing and regs breaking but i havent seen anythng on no power going to the switch, i have brought 2 new switches to.

easy check on these is what i did wiv mine. turn on ignition and interior light try the switch and if the light flickers the switch is receiving power and the problem is either the motor or reg. the only problems we have with regs is the window clamps snap or the cables snap easliy indentifyable by a visual inspection if not the problem will be the motor. the regs are between 40 to 50 pounds plus vat and the motors are between 90 to 120 pound these prices are for genuine parts as i work for cardiff tps a vag parts centre but they do change depending on chasis number. hope this has help you in some way :D oh and the problem wiv mine was the motor

Or do you mean the passenger switch from the drivers side door? if so then it should work, and if it doesnt then its probably the window reg.

Does anything at all happen when you try to use it, ie any soundof it trying to move?
