Hi,

Apologies if this question has been asked numerous times but I'm planning on changing my LCR front pads (not disks) with OEM Brembo items tomorrow (managed 26k on the originals believe it or not)...

Just wondering whether there’s a technique to bed them in properly (series of 30 –0, 40 – 0, 60 –0 and 100 –0 stops etc)?

I was hoping there would be something in the manual but unfortunately not…

I've tried searching but couldn’t find anything specific :(

Thanks
Alex

I would'nt do any high speed hard brakeing to bed them in, Just drive as you normally would but allow a bit of extra brakeing space.

Look dead to you?

I was told by a reputable mechanic that I only had 600 miles left in them (and that was 2k ago lol).

Sorry about the state of the disk it was very wet that day :wtf:

So you think they have a bit of life left in the them?

Can't tell fully from the pic but looks like there's about 3mm left on the pad thats shown, not dead yet just depends how long you want to leave it. Also bear in mind that the inner pad could be worn lower, if theres much space between the caliper and wheel try and get a small mirror in between and see if you can see what the inner pads are like.

If it was me and the inner pads were similar amount left i'd be monitoring them for the time being, probs even get another 1500-2000 out of them, just make sure you dont run them so low that they end up taking the discs with them
