How can I check my intercooler to see if it's been pierced? Just a case of stick it on a car and listen for leaks?

Only ask as the SS FMIC that was on my car someone might want.. It's a bit twisted but it doesn't appear to have pierced it.

Anyone got any ideas?

I would have thought it could be pressure tested. It's probably worth ringing a tuning company like Jabba etc, they'll be able to tell you over the phone surely.

Er, tried just filling the thing with water, there's a leak right in one corner. Can people re-seal the seam or is it better to just skip it? :D

So as its leaking in the corner, does that mean its deffo knackered? Are intercoolers meant to be water tight? How did you test it, just poured water init?

If it's not water tight, it's not air tight. If you have an air leak, it could over-fuel and you could end up with water and dirt from outside getting in.
