dont want aftermarket suspension want to keep it oem as i dont intend to modify it as such, i just want to handle a bit better as im actually scared of my car at times

slow down then.

That made me sound bad  nah I mean im scared of it in the sense that i have never pushed it through corners as im afraid it wont handle well at all. just feels so mushy round bends when driving normally iv never been for a spirited drive like i used to in my old car :(

theres no point getting better suspension untill you know the limits of your current setup otherwise you wont even know the way the car is suppose to handle. how do you know it doesnt handle well already if you havent pushed through corners its not like you go madd straight away just keep building the speed slowly untill you feel a slight slip of the wheels then you know the cars at its edge of handling.

You should go for a rear ARB if you want it to stop feeling mushy throught the corners. The stiffer Cupra shocks would also harden up the ride and stop the car pitching as much under acceleration and braking. But the ARB reduces the roll through the corners so it will feel more planted.

i've gone round bends in my Ibiza in 4th and the back end has started to go, but is probably due to not having an ARB...but the front strut brace helps a fair bit to front end grip

i went for a semi spirited drive last night, and it wasnt that bad... still rollls for too much for my liking so think i will invest in the strut brace or arb in the near future :)
