Owned my leon for a week and not impressed that I think I've found my first problem. My boot hatch seems to be loose and going a long bumpy roads I can hear it rattling.

Is this a common problem?

Also on the key fob what should the boot release button do? Mine doesn't seem to do anything!

ok cool will try that out later.

If you put your fingers under the boot edge when it's closed can you move the boot up an down very slightly?

Mine does this and just doesn't seem right as i hear it moving while im driving on bumpy roads.

You need to adjust the 2 rubber bungs on the tailgate to get a snug fit.

Thanks blade,

Any chance you can be slightly more specific on how I go about that? Not that competent with cars yet :p

Also realised last night the reverse light isn't working!! Not good for a car that has done 100 miles! :(

No lights on dashboard. So must be connection fault. Will phone a stealer tomorrow.

Is the bulb indicator lit on the dashboard? If not, it's probably a connection fault.

no fault.

you will notice that your back screen wash also doesn't work.

this is just becuase your boot is not shut properly, when this happens, the reverse light and back screen wash are disabled.

open your boot, and you will see where the boot lock catches, on the metal bar thing . . this needs to be moved downwards a touch. . .

hey presto!!

Ah that does make sense chris! Two problems - same root cause!

I'll sneak out into car park asap to check it :p
