hello

having a bit of a strange issue, when cornering in a right hand bend only, i get the TC light on and what feels like the abs kicking in?? the roads are not wet and i am not really driving that fast.... any ideas what thye problem may be?

only things that i know i have issues with are the brakes, they are very near the end of there life and need replacing, this is on my next months pay packet but i struggled to believe this is the cause of the problem?

when i turn in anything remotely tight, get a pumping feeling, like the abs is on for half and second off on off on off continous untill cornering has ended?

anyone any idea what to check or the problem may be?

my appologies again if this is common, had a bit of a search and could not find anything similar?

cheers

this could be a complete waste of your time but i did a 9 mile drive the other day with my tcs flashing all the way pretty much. turns out my d/s front wheel wasnt on properly (he says with a very frightened look upon his face) and no i wasnt joking. dont you just love dealers. it was doing alot of understeer on round abouts and now its not (since taking it of and putting back on)... something to ponder...

thanks alot mate..funny you shold ay that as unfortunatly for me i drove over a nail or something so had to change the wheel over last night so i will double check it!! but it has actually happened once before but that was slightly wet that day... light is not flashing normally though, only during cornering the one way... but it does make sense so will check it first thing..

going to fit the forge 007p in the morning too so will be called for some testing driving..lol

any other suggestions?

cheers

if your tyres arent equal in tread or age it can cause this.

also currently have the wrong direction on the tyre two... collecting the repaired one in the morning....

out of interest how good is a repaired tyre... ahve ordered a new one anyway.. prefer to feel safe when going flat out..lol

cheers

i have had a repaired tyre on mine for some time. it gets a good work out regularly. when i got it done i flat out OFFERED to pay for a new tyre instead of a repair but the bloke assured me that i would be wasting my money. which i think says something about the quality when a business could have got a bundle more by fitting a new tyre!! general rule is that if its at the wall or an inch in from it... new tyre otherwise a repair is just as good as a new tyre.
