Evening chaps,

I wouldnt mind getting a samco hose kit to brighton up the engine bay and make things flow better.

Ive had a very quick look on ebay and have noticed that the Mk3 Golf 16v kit is about £40 cheaper than the ibiza GTi 16v kit ????

would the golf one not fit ?

cheers
Dan

I would imagine most of the hoses would be the same. Things like radiator pipes, intake etc might be different - as these may be in a slightly different position relative to the engine in the Golf bay.

Only guessing, mind ;)

looks like the radiator hose worked it way loose and came off. Stopped on the way home when i noticed the temp creeping up. Got out and saw there was no water then noticed the hose haging down....bummer. Got water and filled it up but temp didnt come down...rushed home and checked agan and water bottle is empty again. Tried the heater and nothing but cold air.......just hoping know head gasket damage...

will let it cool down and then get some coolant in it.

Sounds like there could be an airlock in the system somewhere.

Dont know Craig.........however !!!

I gave the car a good 2 hours to cool down and have just gone back out to it.....secured the pipe back in place to make sure it will never come off again....mixed up my coolant and filled the car back up ( it took some 3L of water / coolant ) and took it out for a drive..

GOOD NEWS !! we have Heat Back YAY !!:D and the car is back holding half way on the temp !! double YAY:D:D

only reason i did really was becuase A, the coolant says to & B, i didnt have enough coolant to fill it all.

but very glad it all seems to be ok. I think that might have had a close shave there.
