EPC Light..

Ok so my 1.2 is been playing up lateley.. but recently i noticed that my epc light came on.. And now everytime i start it up from cold it starts fine then loses all power and either stalls, Or if i put my foot down wakes up.. I have no idea whats causing this but i just booked it in too seat...Any idea's why its doing this??

And damn whys my car so noisy ? Wind noice seems too be so loud.. Sound like i got a tornado in my window sills... , I cant feal the wind behind it so im pointing it out too seat..Although they asure me this Is very rare.... not what SCN members are telling me...
,They also are telling me they may take my backbox off becouse that may be the problem? Grr. Thanks for any help!

epc is "gas pedal failure" i had the same problem, but turned out mine was just a blown fuse, i had the lack of power thing too. hope yours isnt too bad mate. 1.2's seem to be a whole lot of hassle dont they!

Okay, I'll be a smart ash and say that "epc" is Electronic Power Control - but the answer is still the same "its got a problem"! Never know he might not be a 1.2 owner now!

If his is about a 1.2, does your car over rev when it idles and when you change gear? If it does its caused by your back box as your getting back pressure in the engine, thats what caused all the symptoms you have described to my 1.2. I removed my back box and reset the fault code and problem was sorted, i also changed the coil packs as precaution aslo, but its worth getting it scanned for faults. As for the wind noise i have that on my car, i just turn the music up. Hope this helps
