Had my 1.6 Sport (black) for about 6 weeks now and love it !. Just wondered what i can do to make it look even more sporty though. Don't really want to get too expensive (around the £2-300 budget)

Was wondering if there were any add-ons such as LED front "strip" lights (like the Audi A4s have) ?, something along those lines ?, some kind of sportier grille, different lights/rear lights (although i doubt there would be anything out there with the mk5 being under a year old).

Can i get those blue tint / ice white bulbs for the mk5, if so which ones are the best ?, do they make much difference anyway ??

Regards,
Andy

Did you get any official SEAT accesories added when you bought it? e.g trims, grilles?

Hi Beport, the only additions to the bog standard 1.6 Sport that i got were:
17" alloys, Bluetooth capability added to the radio, Digital Climate Control and Metallic Paint.

Not sure if it's possible to get a different front grille ??, maybe a criss-cross one like the old Leon Cupra had ??

I suppose more and more things will become available as the car ages and more people buy them !

Hi Big4094, i love my 1.6 sport!, it's better than i though it would be. Yes it's not as powerful as my last car (Leon Cupra), but it still has a pokey little engine, and about 25% better on fuel than my Cupra was (which is really important to me as i have to travel 50 miles a day).

The radio is excellent!, just wish it would play DVD mp3's. But you can still get around 10 albums on a CDR which is enough really.

I have heard others on here say that it lacks power, but in all fairness i think it's still a nippy little number, good on fuel, looks good, feels responsive enough to drive, comfprtable etc.

I wouldn't change it for any of the other "super minis" (I20, Corsa etc).

Overall, i'm impressed with it, had it about 2 months now and still enjoy getting it out on a morning to drive to work ! (sad, i know !)

Anyway, good driving, you'll love it !

Regards,
Andy

Hi tweedz, not really much i can think of on my budget (lol!), but quite interested in the xenon bulbs, where did u get them from ?, how much if u don't mind me asking ?, are they easy to fit ? and how effective are they (do they look a lot better than the original ones, or just a bit better ?).

All the Best,
Andy

Are they easy to fit ?, i know what a pain bulbs were to replace in my Cupra because of the lack of space in the engine compartment !, do they have a bluey tint at certain angles (like u see on these high performance cars) ?

Andy

how many cars do you have?! haha
no, not in the mk4 anyways. i havent even had a look under the bonnet of a mk5 yet to be honest
yes they do have a very slight blue tint. but only at certain angles not when you are looking straight at them
one point. if you do decide to get these dip the lights more that you would with the standard bulbs because:
1 there is no point- they light up the whole road anyways
and 2 you constantly get people flashing thinking you have your high beams on lol
