its more the fact that you have a new wiper blade and string etc rather than the design thats helped.
Try some of the aeros off this site www.aceparts.com, use the Golf mk4 kit, 21" and 19",
Iv got them on mine, excellent wipers, best aeros iv had on yet!

Be warned where they connect to the arms the "connector" is huge and i find it "in my view as i know it's there" if that makes sense.
Hmm...im bad enough as it is without more distractions ! I think heavy metal blurring out is a big enough distraction lol.
any other choices ? Could i just try new blades ? Still loving this rear fabia wiper tho !

I see what you mean about the connector being HUGE, could probably put up with it if they were plenty cheaper than the £70 ones??

VW seems the best place be around the £80 mark though.
Some more pics for you all, took these last weekend but only just got them uploaded them.
It misses the screen (but not much) on nearside, but that's probably because I ordered 19" instead of 18"
Got them from eBay for £11 inc postage! Will do for now untill I can afford MKIV's
